Daddy is the big cheese.... I mean Chief...

Big Weekend - Birthday Party #1

Jackson & I made it back to Portsmouth today after a busy weekend. I went to Columbia, SC for a bachelorette party and Jackson stayed with Gramms. We all had a great time. Yesterday Jackson had his first of three 1st birthday parties at Aunt Punkey's house. Tomorrow we leave for WV to visit and birthday party #2.

Daddy is Home!!!

Jackson is very excited that daddy is home. So is Mommy. Jason finally got his Wii and has been mastering his tennis game. Watch out Buckhannon Moose Lodge - it's on. Jackson and Marley like to watch. We all spent the day together yesterday b/c Jason did not have to work. We went and got all the stuff for me to make Jackson's Halloween Costume - Elmo, who else? Also, FYI - Jackson has an Elmo lunch box and I'm pretty sure at this point that when I say "Elmo" he thinks it means "time to eat" and we all know the kid has never turned down a meal.

The Fealy clan left for WV on Friday morning and Jackson is really bored with just me now. Jackson had a great time with all his cousins and Marley made a new friend. Jason will be home tomorrow. We are VERY excited. We miss him bunches. It has been a busy 2 weeks but it's just not the same with Dad gone.

Cousins, Cousins, Cousins!!! Jason's brother Joey & his family are in VA Beach this week and come over for dinner. The girls played with Jackson and wore him out! Jackson is also enjoying his new pool. We miss the holders.

My mom & aunt have been here since Tuesday. "The Holders" are a great help. Mom is giving Jackson a bath right now. We have been very busy. Jackson showed Gramms and Auntie the hot dog and chips. He is also very helpful with the dishes.

Jason left at 4:00 this morning for 2 weeks on the boat. We miss him already. Jackson has the croop...again and is not feeling well or sleeping. Mommy is very tired. Thank goodness the holders (Gramms and Aunt Punkey) are coming tomorrow to rescue me. Jackson is pulling himself up on everything and side stepping his way around the house. No real steps yet, but I think it will be very soon. He and dad got in a good game of "ball" before Jason left. P.S. I have lost 12.2 pounds on Weight Watchers.

We found out this morning that Jason will make Chief on August 1. It is a big promotion and I am very proud of him. Also, I get to say "yes chief" ALL THE TIME at home. Jackson & I went to the cool mall in Norfolk again today with our play group. Jackson had a ball playing in the big plate, climbing on the potato chips and hotdog.

Jason got home Friday and Autumn came to visit this weekend. We all rode the ferry to Norfolk and went to the mall so Jackson could play in the awesome kids area. He made a few new lady friends. He also stood by himself - unassisted. This morning we had blueberry waffles. Jackson thoroughly enjoyed them.

Super Ultra Mega Play Date

Jackson & I attended a Pot Luck for our mom's group today. There had to be 25 kids there. It was madness but we had a good time and Jackson played hard. We came home and he collapsed.

Jason is back on the boat till Friday. Monday I kept my friend's son Jack who is a month older than Jackson. Boy I'm glad we don't have twins! They did a good job entertaining each other playing swap the binky and napped at the same time. I got new glasses. Please tell me what you think. I have 30 days to exchange if I want. Be Honest!

Jackson & I have been hanging out a lot with our Mom's group. This is Jackson's lady friend Emily having lunch at the Mexican restaurant. We have been to the pool, out for coffee, and to the play area at the mall. Tomorrow Jackson & I are going to Wilmington for the week. Jason has to go to Ocean City, MD on the boat so we are going to go visit.

Jackson is 10 months old today. He is such a big boy! Jason got underway this week. It was a little weird not having him here at night but we'll get used to it. He was home yesterday and will be home tomorrow. Jackson & I have been very busy with our Mom's group. We all went to a cook out yesterday for the 4th and swam in the pool. Jackson really enjoys playing with the other kids. There are several kids in the group about his age. We have also discovered that he is a huge balloon fan - they provide hours of entertainment. (Ok - more like minutes.)

The Fealys came to visit VA Beach this past week. I think they had a good time. We got some sun and had some good seafood. My grandparents also stopped by on their 59th wedding anniversary for dinner. We had a house full but it was fun. Friday Jason invited the crew over and we had a cook out. It was a busy week. The crew seems very nice and Jason is excited to get under way on Monday.
