Healthy....I think

On Wednesday night it was VERY clear that Jackson had contracted his brother's stomach bug. After a LONG night and a low key morning, we are all back to normal now. Jason played paintball yesterday and Jackson played outside ALL day. The weather has been beautiful. I sure will miss this in NJ.

Wow.....

Its been a yucky few days. Jackson had a bout with pneumonia 2 weeks ago but is feeling better now. He has been staying up late in his bed talking to himself lately and we really payed for it yesterday. I had to wake him at 8:45 to go to school at 9:00. He was not happy. I started by wishing him a Happy Valentine's Day, which he must have still been asleep for. He went to the bathroom - peed with his eyes closed all over everything and then burst into tears because I did not say "Happy Valentine's Day" to him. Sawyer chimed in because he is a sympathy crier. Jackson must have snapped out of it at school because he and his friend Cailey had greenmouths and were buzzing from candy. At about 4:30 Jason & Sawyer were sitting on the couch when Sawyer vomited all over both of them. Jason & I were just discussing if we could machine wash our couch cushions - we did.Thinking it was a "drank my juice too fast" fluke, we got in the truck and headed out for our traditional family Mexican Valentine's dinner. In the truck we discovered it was not a fluke, but a stomach virus and quickly ordered pizza and came home. Poor Sawyer has not been able to keep anything down since yesterday. I have spoken with a nurse and we are keeping a close eye on him. On the up side, I got tulips and an IPOD from Jason and he got a BluRay player and a pumpkin cheesecake from me. I loveValentine's Day....

Sock Monster

I have been noticing a large number of Sawyer's socks missing lately but figured they where in transiton from dirty laundry to clean. Today I caught the little booger. He has been chipmunking them behind his crib everyday during nap time.

From a Proud Momma....

We got Jackson's Fall Developmental Skills Checklist last week. He got all check pluses and the following note from his teacher: "Jackson is very interested in our learning activities. He is fascinated by just about anything we are covering. He really is like a 'sponge' soaking up every bit of information he can get! He loves to have discussions the best. He also enjoys a multitude of imagination games, like being a knight, or a hunter, or a race car driver.... Jackson treats all of his classmates with kindness and respect." We are so proud. Also, everyone keeps mentioning that he looks like he has grown. Well....he has, 2 inches since his birthday. He is in the 97% for height. I think he got the Sunder height.
It was so nice today - in the 70s. We played outside while Sawyer napped. He is doing very well in speech therapy. His new words are please, eat, and YEAH!!!!!

More Panama City Pics

Panama City!!!

We had a wonderful week with Grammz and Auntie in Panama City. We made our annual trip to Gulf World. Jackson saw the dolphin show 4 times and was a volunteer each time!! We also went bowling, visited Zoo World and had dinner with Kathy & Bernie each night. Sawyer enjoyed bowling, but only when it was his turn. We got to pet a wolf and feed some farm animals. We had a couple of very nice days. Jackson and I even went to the beach barefoot. Sawyer got spoiled rotten by the holders and I got some shopping time to myself. It was a wonderful trip as always. We are settled in at home again. We are all fighting the sniffles but ready to get back to school & the gym tomorrow.

At home

Jason represented CG Station Mayport at several Auxilary change of commands his week and looked very handsome in his uniform. The boys enjoyed their after church donut. We are anxious for Grammz to come on Friday and then we are off to Panama City to visit Auntie. Daddy will enjoy a "bachelor" weekend.

Uncle Joey's

The highlight of the trip was a visit to Jason's brother Joey's house. Jackson got to shoot a real gun under close supervision. He was SOOOOO excited.

On to West Virginia

We made it to WV in spite of the FOOT of snow they had. It was beautiful but cold. Jackson & Sawyer had Christmas again and got to hang out with their cousins. We had a great time out at the Moose Lodge for New Years.

Christmas at the beach

The first leg of our trip was Christmas with the Porters / Sunders in Oak Island, NC. Jackson was relieved that Santa found us. I got to eat oysters with my grandfather and we even got to see a little snow. We also went to the Dixie Stampede and had a GREAT time.

Shepherd Jackson

Jackson attended a birthday party at Build-a-bear on Sunday. He got the most manly camo bear. It was very cute. Last night was the Christmas Program at Jackson's school. He was a Shepherd and his good friend Sydney was one of his sheep. Moving up - last year he was a cow. He did a great job "gliding" his sheep.

Christmas Spirit

Our tree is up and looks nice. On Saturday we went to a friend's house for a Christmas cookie decorating / pajama party. The kids opened new PJs and decorated cookies. They had a great time. Yesterday I couldn't resist photographing my dapper boys before church. In the evening we do our reading and hang an ornament on the Jessie Tree. It is cool this week - highs in the 50s - much different that 80 on Thanksgiving.
