Another Party!

Yesterday was the Halloween party at Sawyer's school. Daddy is home now with his boat so he was able to go. The kids lined up and sang songs but Sawyer would not let go of Jason. Then they ate a picnic lunch. Sawyer was a train engineer for the party, then Elmo for trick or treating.

"Cutes"

Every Sunday the Coast Guard recruits run by our house in formation and singing cadence. Sawyer loves to go watch them. Yesterday we put him down for his nap a little early and shortly after he could hear them coming. We could hear him yelling from his room"cutes coming, cutes coming." Needless to say, nap had to wait.

school parade

Jackson's school had a costume parade on Friday and a party after in their classroom. As room mom, I was there to help of course. It was very cute and the kids had a great time. Jackson was a red power ranger. There were 4 power rangers in kindergarten. He is doing the chicken dance in the pic with his butt sticking out. He also sticks his tongue out when he is thinking, just like I used to.

Hello Falltrying

We went to a fall festival at a local farm and Jackson's friend Addison came along. We went on a hayride, ate and Jackson held all kinds of creepy animals. Sawyer was trying to take home the biggest pumpkin he could. He kept saying "heavy, heavy."
Swimming lessons are over for Jackson and he is happy about that - more time for karate. He is really enjoying it and we got him a uniform at the thrift store. The teacher is very good with the kids and daddy even got to go see last week. Sawyer wants to start too.

Gardening

We are finishing up with our garden. We have broccoli, cabbage and collards growing for fall and we have eaten lots of peas and carrots. Can't wait till spring to plant again!

Trip to NC

We spent the long weekend in NC with lots of friends and family. We all stayed together at a beach house in Carolina Beach, NC. I flew with the boys out of Phili and Jason met us in Wilmington. He was a big surprise for the boys. Jason is still in Brooklyn, NY getting his ship fixed in emergency dry dock. Jackson went fishing with Papa, Jason & uncle Marshall and had an awesome time. They caught 5 flounder and some crabs. We visited the NC Aquarium and Jason & I went out to celebrate our 6th anniversary. Grammz, GG, Sawyer and I did a major shopping trip and had lunch. On the last night we had a great family dinner of fried flounder, collard greens and steamed crabs. Yum!!

Coast Guard Fall Festival

Hay ride and pumpkin patch....

Vistors

Grammz & Papa came for a visit and spoiled the boys. Jackson and Papa went fishing and Jackson showed us how big a fish we was going to catch. Mom brought cupcakes that Auntie made and the boys loved them. We all attended the CG Fall Festival and had a great time. Mom was busy holding my friend's baby while we did all the activities. Hope she doesn't get any ideas.....

Here comes fall

I have been neglecting the blog so during the few minutes of quite time left between nap and the bus coming I will be playing catch up.
We got have been getting our yard ready for fall. There is a "yard of the season" competition sponsored by the spouses association and I want to win!!

Tot Time & Swimming

After a rough start to the week, Jackson is doing much better getting on the school bus in the morning. I think he had a hard time adjusting to the morning routine and being gone all day. Sawyer loves school and is very excited to go. He holds his lunch box in his lap in the car on the way. Jason took his ship to Brooklyn, NY Saturday to be fixed in the shipyards. He is coming home for a visit this weekend. The repair is expected to last a month. On Tuesday I took Sawyer to Tot Time on the base. There were tons of kids and he really enjoyed it. His lady friend, Alyssa was there too. They had gymnastics mats, a parachute and races for the kids to do. Jackson has started swimming lessons on the base as well. They are both enjoying their activities. Jackson's friend, neighbor & classmate, Hayden is a regular at the Fealy house. Jackson says they are "just friends." Sawyer doesn't mind her either.

Turning 5!!

Jackson celebrated his birthday party on 9/3 at the Nature Center in Cape May with his friends, Grammz, Auntie, GG & Opah. The kids decorated buckets and the dads pulled the net in the harbor to collect critters. Then we celebrated his actual birthday on 9/5. The next day Jackson started Kindergarten! What a busy week. Sawyer was not pleased that he did not get to ride the bus.
