Happy Birthday Daddy!

Friday morning before school the boys helped Jason open his birthday gifts. He got a season pass to Snowshoe for downhill mountain biking and some fancy boy shampoo. With his birthday money he ordered a new watch. We had a nice steak dinner at home and had friends over for dessert. Jason and I also attended the ribbon cutting for the new office building on the base. Big scissors...I couldn't resist.

Zoo trip.

It was so beautiful here yesterday that Sawyer and I met some friends at the zoo. We visited the animals and packed a picnic lunch. Sawyer got to spend some time with his friend Kailey before she moves to Texas next week. We will miss her!

Bad Boy...

Jackson: "MOOOOMMMMMM......Sawyer touched your plant."
Mom: "Sawyer did you touch my plant?"
Sawyer: "No I didn't"
Mom: "Sawyer, please tell me the truth. Did you tough my plant?"
Sawyer: "No I didn't."
(He eventually confessed after several timeouts.)

Quick Visit

Grammz flew into Philadelphia friday afternoon for a quick visit. Mom & I stayed in Phili Friday night and had a wonderful Mediterranean dinner with Liz. Saturday we slept in and then Liz helped with logistics so we could visit the Liberty Bell. Mom & I did a little shopping after than on to Cape May to see the boys. We all took her back to Phili on Monday. It was short and sweet but great to see Grammz. Jackson really wanted mom to stay to see his swimming lessontoday. He said his favorite part was belly rubbing.

Happy Valentines Day!

Today I went with Sawyer to the St. Valentine's Day party at his school. All the items on the menu were red; strawberries, raspberries, grape tomatoes, pasta with red sauce, heart sandwiches with strawberry jelly, etc. It was really cute and fun. Sawyer enjoyed passing out his valentines and receiving them.

Happy Valentines Day!

100th day

Today was the 100th day of school and Jackson's kindergarten class had a party. They all had to turn in a "100 project." Jackson counted and turned in 100 army men....of course. They strung 100 fruit loops on a necklace and stamped their finger 100 times. It was a fun party!

Occupy Movement

It is not unusual to have an "Occupy Movement" in my living room. Every blanket in the house is involved. Daddy helps with construction and the boys LOVE it!

Whale

On Monday a 65 foot Fin Whale washed up on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. It is suspected that it was hit by a freighter in the shipping lanes and had been dead for over a week. Jackson and I saw it on the news and he wanted to go see it. So we did. Jackson was decked out in head to toe explorer gear. We played hookie from school for a few hours and drove the 30 miles north to have a look. Jackson said, "I can't believe I saw a real live dead whale." Sawyer was less impressed.

We had an amazing time in Panama City this year, as usual! This was our 4th year. We met Grammz in Atlanta and flew in to PC were Auntie was waiting for us. We saw the dolphin show at Gulf World, went to the beach and visited Zoo World. Jackson was the volunteer at the dolphin, sea lion and bird shows. The weather was verynice, in the 60s and the boys even got wet!

Merry Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas in Cape May..no snow, but chilly. Jason spent most of the day putting together the Hot Wheels track that Santa brought and the trampoline that Grandma Fealy sent. We ate a big Chinese food dinner at our neighbor's house - no cooking!! Yesterday Jackson insisted we go try out his new track suit. Sawyer got a GIANT tin of cookies from Santa...just what he wanted.
