We got back yesterday from 2 weeks in NC. We had a great time. Jason met us on Christmas Eve at the beach house. It was quite a place. Jackson & I took a bubble bath in one of the 2 big tubs. It was lots of fun. Jackson got spoiled rotten and we are now in the process of deprogramming him. We are looking forward to going to WV on Monday. It is supposed to snow! The high Wednesday is only supposed to be 27!!!

Bath Time Surprise - The Sequel
For all of you that sympathized with me when Jackson pooped in the tub - an update..... tonight he evened the score. He pooped in the tub for Jason. I was in the kitchen and heard Jason yelling - "honey...help"! I'm still laughing on the inside.

The Professor
Jackson got his glasses this evening. I can't believe how strong they are. Poor kid. It was funny to watch him looking around for the first time with them on. I guess the first 15 months of his life were blurry and now he can see. He has pulled them off a few times but I think he has forgotten they are on now. I think he looks quite studious. He also helped Daddy in the yard today and they watched a little golf channel.

Little Big Man
So after a few days of a bad snot nose and cough I took Jackson to the doctor yesterday. Both of his ears were infected and he needed a breathing treatment. Poor little guy was sick! All his friends are sick too. Also, if that's not enough, today was his appointment with the pediatric opthamologist. The doctor determined that Jackson is farsighted and that is why is right eye turns in sometimes. He needs glasses. The doctor said he will probably have to wear them for around 10 years. He also said it is very good that we caught the issue this early.

BIG Weekend
Even though Jackson has a cough and a snot nose he has had quite the social schedule this week. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house. We had 10 friends, young and old, come over. We went out shopping on Black Friday and Jackson helped daddy in the yard. It was finally cool enough for Jackson to wear his sweater Gramms made too. Today we went to ANOTHER birthday party. We have one more in a few weeks and then I think we will be party free for a while.

Poop
Here's how my day went yesterday: Jackson woke up with the poops. I went to get him out of his crib and there was poop everywhere. I managed to clean that up enough to feed him breakfast. While in the high chair he slid another one by me (no pun intended) - no tell tale poop face. It was up his back and all over everything again. I decided to put him in the tub. As I am running the water I let him run around the house naked for a few seconds. He pooped on our bedroom floor. I went to get something to clean that up - the bath is still running - and Marley licks up the poop on the floor. Marley went outside, Jackson went in the tub and I went insane - all by 9:15.
Maybe today will be better.

Birthday Week
What a great week! Tuesday night my friend had a "I will not get old" party for Kathy (her birthday was 10/31) and I. We had a great time. Wednesday Jackson & I hosted a play date at our house and had 10 kids come! Today I got to sleep in and Jason made us pancakes for breakfast. We went to downtown Norfolk for lunch at Guadalajara Mexican Cafe. Tomorrow my mom comes to visit for the weekend. I have decided 30 is the new 20 and I will survive.

On the road again
Jackson & I returned yesterday from a trip to Wilmington. We had a great time. Jackson is such a good road trip buddy. As long as we have a paci and Mr. Frog Lovie we are good to go. We visited a lot and I went to the Castle Branch Halloween party. Opah & GG were amazed at how busy body Jackson is. He ran laps around their house. The week went by too fast but we were glad to back to see daddy.

Fealy Fall Frolic
Friday was our party and chili cook off. It was a huge success! There were about 30 people here including 16 children! It looked like a toy tornado hit. There was tons of good food. This is the mom's group with Ryan, the "chili master", who is in the Coast Guard with Jason. The girl with the bowl hat is Molly with her dad Steve.
