It has been beautiful this week - in the 60s & 70s. I actually opened the windows and sat on the deck Monday. Jason's big OINC Review Board is next week so he has been studying like crazy. Mom, Aunt Punk & Jackson went to Southport to visit Opah & GG yesterday. Mom & Jackson are having a great time with their new arrangement. Today they are going to mass with Aunt Punk. I know I say this all the time, but Jackson will be six months old next Monday. Where has the time gone? He can roll every which way now. He does baby back-bends (lays on his back and pushes his butt in the air.) He scooches in complete circles and he has found his voice. The picture in the bib is his MMMM sound. (MaMa is coming soon. I can feel it.) He also makes a parrot noise almost on command. He will be running around asking WHY every 5 seconds in no time.

Well...since last week - Jason made it home safely, Sue made it back to CA. We had a good visit with Aunt Sue. Things are getting back to normal - whatever that it. Thanks to Jason & Jackson cooperating, I got a great night of sleep last night. I am very grateful because I sure needed it. Work is going well - same old, same old. Mom & Jackson are having a good time together during the day. Yesterday they went to Mass for Ash Wednesday. Today they are going to visit at mom's school. They have several more "field trips" planned.

Happy belated Valentines Day! Yesterday was our appointment at the hospital. We were there for 3 HOURS! Jackson was a perfect angel the whole time, even when I had to get shitty with the little x-ray man. He flirted with all the ladies and is quite a show off. Short version: everything is fine. Long version: We met with the pulmonary specialist - a friendly lady doctor from UNC Chapel Hill. She took a look and listen at Jackson and spent some time learning his history and my concerns. She was a little concerned about a small indention that he has in his throat when he breathes and the fact that he had Croup so young. She sent us for some x-rays. We walked to the complete other side of the hospital and waited our turn there. When we went back, the little x-ray man wanted to put Jackson in this medieval torture looking devise that was suppose to to "hold him upright and still." I took one look at that thing and told him he would have to find another way b/c we were not putting my baby in that contraption. He tried to comfort me by telling me he had kids too. At that point I would not have cared any less if he and his wife were the proud parents of 2 purple monkeys - he was not putting my baby in that thing. He went to get back-up and the second x-ray tech said they could get the pictures with Jackson laying on the table if I could hold him very still. Jackson cooperated with no problem and we got all the x-rays finished. We walked the whole way back to Peds and waited...and waited. There was a problem with the online system so someone had to go get the x-rays. Anyway - 3 hours after we got there, the nice lady doctor told me that Jackson has reflux, which we already knew, and that we could put him back on Zantac if we wanted. I told her no, it doesn't bother him and I would rather him not have all that crap in his system. She wants to see him back in 2 months unless he has any "episodes." This condition has already gotten significantly better since he was born and she thinks he will grow out of it. We have a follow up appointment in 2 months. Jason comes home tomorrow!!!!!!! Today is Jackson's first day with Gramms. I'm sure they are having a ball.

Everyone is feeling better this week. Last week Jason & I and tons of other people had a bad stomach virus. My mom had to take off 2 days to help me with Jackson. It was bad, but was gone in about 48 hours. Everyone is coming home this week. My grandparents were suppose to get back from their cruise late last night. My aunt Sue comes in from California tonight. Jason gets home Friday and my aunt Punk gets home Saturday from Puerto Rico. Thank you Grandma Fealy for the WV football. Jackson loves it! He already has the quarterback grip down. Wednesday is Jackson's appointment with then Pulmonary Specialist. I'm not sure what they will do but I am very adamant that they DO NOT do anything invasive. His breathing seems to be getting better and it does not seem to bother him. He is sleeping well and a very happy baby. There will be no unnecessary poking and prodding on my baby! I'll let you know how it goes.

Today Jackson is 5 months old! I know I say it every month, but it is going by so fast! Jason is freezing his fanny off in CT. He will be up there for 2 weeks for work. We already miss him. Jackson was the star of the Super Bowl party yesterday. He is quite a ladies man.
Congrats to Jason's cousin Missie & husband Michael - baby Dalton Colt DeJarnette arrived last week.
