My Dare Devil

Sawyer loves to jump off the diving board at the CG pool. He has NO FEAR! Jackson won't get near it.

Ocean Exploration Festival

Cape May City Elem. had a HUGE Ocean Exploration Festival last night. It was a really fun event. They had art projects, underwater ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) demonstrations by the kids, authors signing books, food and games. Jackson's PACE (Program for Academic & Creative Excellence) teacher got a grant from Rutgers University to do the ROV project. Jackson had 2 projects in the exhibition - one on Arctic & Antarctic animals with this 1st grade class and one on the Hawk's Bill Turtle in his PACE class. We got his MAP testing scores back and he is in the 94% for Math & Science. I know he is my kid, but he really is a genius.

Trip to NC

The boys and I flew to NC on Valentines Day to stay with the family for the long weekend. We all stayed at a beach house at Oak Island. I got a massage and spend some time with friends. Grammz & Papa took the boys to the Serpentarium. Auntie and I passed on that one. We all went to the Pirate's Voyage show in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was really awesome. GG, Opah, Aunt Sue and Uncle Marshall got in on all the fun too. I got my "plate of Love" meal - friend fish, collards, corn bread, & sweet potato . YUM

Olympics

Jackson's School had the Green Dot Olympics to celebrate their Anti-Bullying campaign. They had all sorts of indoor winter sports. Jason and Sawyer went too. It looked like so much fun. There was hockey, bobsledding & ice skating.

Rain

It rained a little (OK, a LOT) a few weeks ago and we had a pond in our back yard. I couldn't keep Sawyer out of it! What a muddy mess.

Snow!!

We have several days of snow this week which made waiting for the bus extra fun.

Field Trip

Jason chaperoned Jackson's class trip to the Atlantic City aquarium. Jackson asked for Dad since he says I go to everything. Works for me!! Jason road the bus with 30 1st graders and needed to decompress when he got home. Too many little people conversation. I am told by my friend who is an aide at the school that Jackson is very popular with the ladies. The one with the blue flower in her hair, Emily, is the most smitten.
