It's official - I am over being pregnant. My hands and feet are so swollen they ache. The heat does not help. There is a heat advisory for today. I do not plan on going outside. I have started getting myself as ready as possible to go to the hospital so if Jackson can read my mind he knows it is safe to come out. I started packing last night and filled out all the admission forms. I have also completed our "birthing plan." I am going to have Jason install the base of the car seat this week so that is ready to go as well. I have several outfits picked out to take for Jackson's coming home ensemble. We will have to play dress up and see what works best. 33 more days....

Had another doctor's appointment this morning. Will be going every week from now to the end. Everything looks good. Jackson's heart rate was 148 and I measured 34 cm - just right. The burning skin thing is getting worse, asked doctor again - she said it is still skin/uterus stretching. Jackson's head is down and butt is on the left side. The ever present dull pain on the right side is knees and/or feet. I asked about eating peanuts - I heard that eating peanuts while pregnant or breastfeeding can cause allergies in baby. She said studies now show the opposite - mom eating them can help introduce to baby. I have gained 4 lbs in the last 2 weeks, but Dr. said from the looks of my ankles it is all water. Here's what a 35 week belly looks like:

Finally, it's over. Floyd Landis, an American, has won the tour de France. I get my husband, Tivo & the couch back. I want to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time.

The calm after the storm.... I mean shower. The baby shower on Sunday was great. There were about 30 people there. Everyone had a good time. Mom & Punk made some wonderful food and had 2 cakes - a homemade Pooh cake and an Apple Annies's Ice Cream cake - chocolate of course. W played a few games organized by Autumn and I opened a ton of gifts. As you can see we have no were to put the kid. I think we have everything we need including enough bibs & onesies to outfit and army. Thank you everyone! I feel OK today - I have lowered my standards of normal. The foot, butt or elbow in my ribs is a constant reminder of little Mr. Fealy's presence and is quite sore. I am not sleeping well so I am exhausted. Jason says it looks like I have been wrestling with the covers in the morning when he leaves. FYI - he is sleeping fine. Only 6 more weeks. People keep telling me they think I will go early because of my size - how comforting. I tell them, my luck he will be late. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Had a doctor's appointment today. Everything went well. Jackson's heartrate is 150 bpm - normal. They checked my blood & urine, told me my weight was on the "high side." I'm OK with that. I have not been sleeping, so working out is out of the question for the most part - has been replaced with naps. I have my last workout with my trainer tonight. Next appointment is in 2 weeks. I'm really looking forward to the shower this weekend. Punk, Mom & Autumn are working hard. Omah borrowed some chairs from church. My last day of work will be 8/18 if everything goes well. I can't wait. Only 7 weeks until Little Mr. Fealy's arrival.

Frida and Ms. Anna Came over for a visit last night. Anna is growing soo fast and has quite a little personality. She and Jason got along very well and to my relief the dogs were very uneffected by her vistit. If there are any questions, the big green blob is me.

The bulge around my middle continues to grow and in the last few days has become VERY active. It is truly the weirdest thing I have ever felt. I think there is currently a foot wedged in between the top of my ribs and my right boob.

To the right you will see a representation of what it feels like in my uterus.

In honor of the first day of the Tour de France: Have you ever notice the amazing similarities between professional cycling and Nascar? The contestants travel a course of predetermined length, all members of a team, all trying desperately to achieve their own best time. They each have a "crew" who provides water, fuel and changes flats in record time. Commentators commentate with the same fury and vigor. Wrecks are the highlight of the day and are replayed in slow motion over & over. The fans are insane - both sports are reasons to invest in Tivo. Everyone -please don't forget me as I will be a widow to "The Tour" for the next three weeks.
