Beach & Brownies

We went to the beach with our neighbors and had a great time. They came over this evening and watched a movie too. In an effort to get more fiber in Jackson's diet, I made brownies tonight with whole wheat flour, pureed prunes and honey instead of oil and sugar. Jason said they should not even be called brownies. Jackson ate them but they definitely taste different that the box kind!

Produce Update

We made jam and pesto yesterday. We had the pesto on pasta for dinner and tried the jam. Both were very good! I also made a big fruit salad which Jackson has been eating like crazy. I thought we would never eat all of it, but I think we can do it!

Produce Co-Op

I am so excited because we have joined a produce co-op and today we picked up our first basket. Its $20 a week and the list changes weekly. I hope we can eat all of it! I am going to make jam today with the strawberries and blackberries.

Mondays....

Back to school today. Jackson had a great time. He made a STOP sign in art class and they are learning about playground safety. He has been telling everyone and everything to STOP all afternoon!

For the love of Coupons!!

Jackson is at school today - which he LOVES! He has been in underwear since last Thursday except for at night! Yah!! Sawyer and I did a little power couponing this morning. I am stock piling formula in anticipation of discontinuing to breastfeed - not sure when but sometime soon. Today I had an incredible buy. I bought 2 HUGE cans of Enfamil at Publix - $48.98. I had 2 manufacturer coupons, 2 store coupons, 2 manufacturer checks which brought my total to $20.00. I also had a rebate form for $20.00 off of $40.00. Final price - FREE!!!!

Beach Weekend

The boys and I went to NC for the weekend to hang out with the Sunder clan. Aunt Sue and Judy got to meet Sawyer for the first time. We waved flags for the Wounded Warrior Bikers on 9/11. Jackson helped Papa fish and we went to aquarium. GG fed Sawyer. It was a busy trip but we all had a great time. P.S. Jackson is diaper free except for in bed - even at school. I think the Lightening McQueen "underwears" help.

First Day of School

Today was Jackson's first day of Preschool. There were NO tears. He was very ready to go. he had a great day and likes his teacher Ms. Anna. They played outside - his favorite, sang songs, ate lunch and made a paper hat. He said his was a pirate hat. I hope tomorrow goes as well.

Zoo

Today we spent the day with the rest of Jacksonville at the Zoo. It was hot but we had fun. Jackson & I fed the giraffe. Sawyer enjoyed the scenery. Tomorrow is Jackson's first day of school. We are all excited!

Beach!!

We went to the beach after church and had a picnic and played in the water a bit.

Party!!

Jackson's party was a huge success and we are all pooped. The boys are in bed and I will be soon.

Happy Birthday Jackson!!

Jackson came and got in bed with us this morning at 7:30 and asked if he could open his "presidents." We all got up and watched him open and had a special breakfast. He got new school shoes which he already wearing, a guitar, karaoke machine, picnic table and Wii game. Thank you everyone!! We have had a fun LOUD morning. Now we are all resting up for the big party at 4:00.

Back to School

Today was Jackson's orientation at his school. He was very excited. He got new glasses, shoes, book bag and lunchbox. He is SO ready. We met his teacher and saw his classroom. He got a school t-shirt and insisted on wearing it home. I think his first day next Tuesday will be easy for both of us. My first day of school was Monday and it went well. I am doing a 2 semester program to get my teaching certificate. Sawyer has been practicing sitting up unassisted for just a few seconds. They are growing up!
