Merry Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas in Cape May..no snow, but chilly. Jason spent most of the day putting together the Hot Wheels track that Santa brought and the trampoline that Grandma Fealy sent. We ate a big Chinese food dinner at our neighbor's house - no cooking!! Yesterday Jackson insisted we go try out his new track suit. Sawyer got a GIANT tin of cookies from Santa...just what he wanted.

Visitors

Grammz, Papa & Auntie came for "1st Christmas" over the weekend since they will be in NC with the rest of the family on "real Christmas." We opened presents and had a big turkey dinner. On Friday Grammz, Papa, Daddy & I attended Jackson's class party and school performance. Jackson sang two songs with his class. Auntie stayed home with Sawyer. That evening we attended the ship's Christmas party at the Harborview and Santa dropped by. The boys and Auntie also decorated a gingerbread house. Sawyer ate most of the candy. We will miss everyone next weekend in NC but we are glad we got to see Grammz, Papa & Auntie.

Santa Sightings

Friday night was the tree lighting at the chapel on base and Santa arrived by fire truck. The boys were very excited and had tons of questions - where were the reindeer?, etc. The next day was the children's party at the Harborview on base and Santa arrived by CG helicopter. That was very exciting!!

Super Star

Jackson was recognized last night by the Superintendent at the Board of Education meeting with a "Lend a Hand" award. The award is part of the "Green Dot" take a stand anti bullying campaign. We also have a sneaky little Elf named Bullseye who moves from room to room at night and reports back to santa. Last night he got in the cookies.

Disco

Daddy gave the boys glow sticks in the tub. I can almost hear the techno music....

Allergies..

    • Jackson's asthma symptoms have been flaring up since we got to NJ and he is just getting over a nasty cough. Our Pulminary Dr. suggested allergy testing since he is on 4 different allergy and asthma medicines already. He got 20 pricks. The left side were all seasonal outdoor allergins and the right side are all indoor allergins. The photo is right after the pricks. Then we had to wait 15 more minuted for the Dr to evaluate them...not fun. He was very brave and it helped that daddy and the ipod were there to entertain him. He is very allergic to mold and dust. We have a laundry list of things to do to help with his symptoms. I am also getting the house tested for mold. TBC.....

Ravens!!

It was time for Jason's Chief Engineer to re-enlist and he is a huge Raven's football fan. His wife, Christy, also my good friend, arranged for it to take place on the field in Raven's stadium. Jason conducted a short ceremony and Clay signed over 6 more years to the Coast Guard. It was a great experience and a dream of Clay's. The kids enjoyed practicing their tackling skills. Afterwards we went to the National Aquarium and saw the entire place in one hour and 15 minutes - exactly the attention span of a 5 and 2 year old.

Grammz & Auntie Vistit

While I was off have a great time in NYC seeing the Rockettes, Grammz & Auntie were here with the kids. They even got to go to karate. Mom was doing the Sunder Suck the whole time Jackson and the other 5 year olds were showing off their moves with the nunchucks. Saturday night Jason and I got to go out on a date for my birthday. He is growing a mustache for the month of November to raise money for men's cancer research. I'll be glad when its gone!

Birthday Week!

I had a great birthday week! Jason surprised me with a trip to NYC with my friend Rhonda the weekend before my birthday. We had an amazing time. Rhonda planned a great fun filled weekend which I was very grateful for. We went to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller center, got on the Today show, went to Chelsea market, saw a broadway show, went to China town & Time Square and even got a nap! We each took a small stuffed animal with us to show the kids everywhere we went! Jason was underway on my actual birthday but Jackson got in bed with me and sang happy birthday. This past Friday I went back to NYC on a bus trip with some girlfriends and saw the Rockettes!

Another Party!

Yesterday was the Halloween party at Sawyer's school. Daddy is home now with his boat so he was able to go. The kids lined up and sang songs but Sawyer would not let go of Jason. Then they ate a picnic lunch. Sawyer was a train engineer for the party, then Elmo for trick or treating.

"Cutes"

Every Sunday the Coast Guard recruits run by our house in formation and singing cadence. Sawyer loves to go watch them. Yesterday we put him down for his nap a little early and shortly after he could hear them coming. We could hear him yelling from his room"cutes coming, cutes coming." Needless to say, nap had to wait.

school parade

Jackson's school had a costume parade on Friday and a party after in their classroom. As room mom, I was there to help of course. It was very cute and the kids had a great time. Jackson was a red power ranger. There were 4 power rangers in kindergarten. He is doing the chicken dance in the pic with his butt sticking out. He also sticks his tongue out when he is thinking, just like I used to.
