Critters

We have some new "pets" at our house. Jason and the kids have relocated several dozen tadpoles to a big glass jar on my kitchen counter. Sawyer enjoyed the ride to the pond on his bike. We have boiled lettuce from our garden to accommodate the tadpole's special diet and are watching them closely. Jackson found one with arms and legs this morning. Very exciting!

Beach Camping

We went camping Friday night at Huguenot Memorial Park with or neighbors and some friends. We camped right on the beach. The wind was blowing and it made setting up, cooking and eating difficult. Despite all the challenges, we had a good time. Sawyer and I ended up sleeping in the car. Jackson had a great time with all the kids. A nap in our own beds Saturday never felt so good.

Catching Up

It was a busy week with school, swimming lessons, my FTCE test and doctor appointments. Jackson is doing great with his swimming lessons, really making progress. I passed my last state exam so I officially certified to teach Kindergarten - 6th grade in Florida. (Don't plan to anytime soon though.) I had a filling at the dentist (yuck) and Jackson got a good report from the eye doctor. He'll probably only need glasses for another year or two. Sawyer has been trying out using the spoon by himself. He does well the first few spoon fulls but then it gets messy. Jason got in one the fun with my couponing haul. Got this load - $132.00 of groceries for $37.00.

Birthday gifts & fun

Sawyer's birthday bib from Auntie Punk and shirts for the boys from Aunt Judy. Also, Jackson swimming like a fish UNDER water and Sawyer flying through the sky.

Birthday Party!

Today was Sawyer's first birthday party complete with bounce house. We had 3 families over to celebrate. The day was perfect and the kids had a great time. Sawyer loved the attention and the cupcake!

At the Zoo

Grammz, Papa, Auntie, GG & Opah arrived Wednesday for a visit to celebrate Sawyer's birthday. We had a cookout and cupcakes on Thursday and we all made a trip to the Jacksonville Zoo on Friday. It was packed but we had a good time. The weather was perfect and Jackson had a blast. Sawyer laid back and enjoyed the ride as usual.

First Dentist Appointment

Today was Jackson's first Dentist appointment. He did so well and I was so proud. He even asked me to go wait in the waiting room! Everything looked good and we are good for another 6 months. My report was not so great. I have to get a filling - my first in a long time! Here are a few more pics from Easter morning. Jackson was relieved to see his Bunny Bait worked.

Beach Babies

Thursday and Friday afternoons we went to the beach with some friends to enjoy the perfect weather. It was 80 with a little breeze. I wish it would stay that way all summer. Jackson had a blast playing with the kids even though the water wash still pretty cold. Sawyer enjoyed watching and eating sand. Jackson & I also colored Easter eggs in anticipation of the Easter bunny.
