We had a wonderful Christmas in Cape May..no snow, but chilly. Jason spent most of the day putting together the Hot Wheels track that Santa brought and the trampoline that Grandma Fealy sent. We ate a big Chinese food dinner at our neighbor's house - no cooking!! Yesterday Jackson insisted we go try out his new track suit. Sawyer got a GIANT tin of cookies from Santa...just what he wanted.
Grammz, Papa & Auntie came for "1st Christmas" over the weekend since they will be in NC with the rest of the family on "real Christmas." We opened presents and had a big turkey dinner. On Friday Grammz, Papa, Daddy & I attended Jackson's class party and school performance. Jackson sang two songs with his class. Auntie stayed home with Sawyer. That evening we attended the ship's Christmas party at the Harborview and Santa dropped by. The boys and Auntie also decorated a gingerbread house. Sawyer ate most of the candy. We will miss everyone next weekend in NC but we are glad we got to see Grammz, Papa & Auntie.
Friday night was the tree lighting at the chapel on base and Santa arrived by fire truck. The boys were very excited and had tons of questions - where were the reindeer?, etc. The next day was the children's party at the Harborview on base and Santa arrived by CG helicopter. That was very exciting!!
Jackson was recognized last night by the Superintendent at the Board of Education meeting with a "Lend a Hand" award. The award is part of the "Green Dot" take a stand anti bullying campaign. We also have a sneaky little Elf named Bullseye who moves from room to room at night and reports back to santa. Last night he got in the cookies.
